Overview
This page explains how to sign in to Bybit, common login problems and fixes, how to set up two‑factor authentication (2FA), and what to do if you lose access to your account. Follow the official Bybit site for downloads and account links: bybit.com.
How to Sign In (Desktop & Web)
- Open your browser and visit https://www.bybit.com.
- Click Log In at the top-right corner.
- Enter your registered email address or mobile number, then your password.
- If prompted, complete the CAPTCHA challenge and tap Sign In.
- If you enabled 2FA, enter the current authentication code from your authenticator app or SMS code.
Tip: Use a password manager to store strong, unique passwords for your exchange accounts.
How to Sign In (Mobile App)
Download the official Bybit app from the App Store or Google Play, open the app, then tap Log In. The mobile sign-in flow is identical — enter email/phone, password and 2FA if enabled.
Troubleshooting Common Login Issues
If you cannot log in, try these steps:
- Double-check email/phone and password for typos.
- Clear browser cache/cookies or try a private/incognito window.
- Ensure you are using the official Bybit domain (
bybit.com). - Temporarily disable VPN or proxy services that may trigger security checks.
- If 2FA codes are failing, confirm your device clock is set to automatic time.
If the issue persists contact Bybit support through official channels — avoid sharing passwords in chat or email.
Account Recovery & Forgot Password
To reset a forgotten password, click Forgot password? on the login page and follow the email or SMS steps. For account access problems (lost phone or email access), gather identity verification documents — Bybit's support may request ID verification to restore access.
Two‑Factor Authentication (2FA)
Enabling 2FA protects withdrawals and important account actions. You can use:
- Authenticator apps (Google Authenticator, Authy) — recommended.
- SMS-based 2FA — available but less secure than authenticator apps.
To enable 2FA: Settings > Security > Bind 2FA — follow on-screen instructions and safely store your recovery codes.
Security Best Practices
- Use a unique, strong password stored in a password manager.
- Turn on 2FA (authenticator app preferred).
- Enable withdrawal whitelist where available.
- Watch for phishing emails and confirm all links point to the official domain.
- Keep your OS and apps updated and avoid public Wi‑Fi for trading sessions.
